For many years I’ve had a calling to help people, even more so after giving birth to my daughter, Maya Jaide, in February 2022 (during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong). I saw the world in a new and different light, felt motivated and empowered to create change in this world, for my daughter, her daughter, and the generations of daughters to come.
When our entire family contracted COVID-19 (2 weeks after giving birth) the fourth trimester was HARD. I longed for the type of care when I gave birth that just wasn’t there. I had so much love and support, but not at the level I needed, we were clueless and my immune system was worse for wear. Recovering from a c-section, movements were restricted, coughing, laughing, getting into bed was painful and just surviving the role as a new mother was all I could manage. Looking back, I wish I had something like The Modern Pui Yuet at my fingertips. We would have never been able to have a full time Pui Yuet (confinement nanny) due to lack of space in a tiny apartment and the sky-high costs!

The Modern Pui Yuet was created to break boundaries, the uncomfortable conversations, shake things up and bring women postnatal care in a totally hassle-free, easy to follow manner in the comfort of their own homes. Working alongside and in collaboration with some of the best practitioners and experts in our community, I have created an in-home, easy-to-follow, DIY postpartum service, based on Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine practices. Tapping into what nature meant for us and our bodies, using all natural ingredients and products incorporated in a modernized manner to support new and busy mothers.
The Modern Pui Yuet’s products are specifically made to heal the new mother, warm her body, help with milk production and to gain back her mojo and thrive after giving birth.
Our intention is to provide you with all the tools for nutrition and wellbeing to mother yourself as you step into mothering our future generations and for the ones after that. We feed you, you feed the future.
